ARA oil product stocks up 7 pct – PJK – Reuters News
LONDON, June 14 (Reuters) –
Total oil product stocks in independently held storage at the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp refining and storage hub rose by over 7 pct to 5.7 million tonnes in the week to Thursday, data from Dutch consultancy PJK International showed.
The bulk of the rise came from fuel oil which registered a near 30 percent rise to 1.48 million tonnes, due to slower exports and ahead of a plan to load a VLCC in the region, PJK’s Lars van Wageningen said.
Gasoline stocks were up nearly 5 percent as exports slowed, he added.
Gasoil stocks were up over 1 percent to 2.09 million tonnes. Inland demand was slow as German refineries returned from planned maintenance, van Wageningen added.
