ARA gasoline stocks drop 13 percent – PJK – Reuters News

LONDON, July 26 (Reuters) –

  • Gasoline stocks independently held in the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp refining and storage hub fell by nearly 13 percent in the week to Thursday, data from Dutch consultancy PJK International showed.
  • The drop came on the back of increased exports, especially to the United States, Mideast Gulf and the Mediterranean, PJK’s Lars van Wageningen said.
  • Congestion and long waiting times for discharging at some ports contributed to a fall in imports into the hub.
  • Gasoil stocks increased by 5.4 percent due to weak demand from inland markets
  • Low water levels on the Rhine river and high barge freight rates were hampering demand, van Wageningen said.
