ARA gasoil stocks rise slightly – PJK – Reuters News

LONDON, May 31 (Reuters) –

  • Gasoil stocks in independently held storage at the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp refining and storage hub rose slightly in the week to Thursday to around 2.1 million tonnes, according to data from Dutch consultancy PJK International.
  • Naphtha stocks increased by 17 percent mostly due to higher imports from Algeria, PJK’s Lars van Wageningen said.
  • Barge activity along the Rhine river remained significantly lower than in recent years. A strong backwardation in the gasoil market has kept buying activity in the ARA hub very low, he added.
