ARA stocks jump nearly 6 pct – PJK – Reuters News

LONDON, Jan 25 (Reuters) – Oil product stocks in the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp hub rose by 5.6 percent this week mainly due to higher fuel oil and gasoil stocks, data from Dutch consultancy PJK International showed on Thursday.

A closed arbitrage from Europe to Asia Pacific drove fuel oil stocks 28 percent higher, PJK’s Jacob van den Berge said.

Gasoil stocks were up 3.2 percent as higher water levels on the river Rhine interrupted exports to inland locations.

Gasoline stocks fell 5.5 percent driven by exports from the region, particularly to the Middle East.
